WEEK 4 : 11/7
CONTROL BEFORE TRANSITION
🎯 THIS WEEK'S FOCUS
POSITIONAL DOMINANCE
Welcome to our Side Mount chapter!
Side Mount is one of the most dominant positions in Jiu-Jitsu. Although you primarily control your opponent's upper body, it offers tremendous opportunities for control, pressure, and positional dominance.
This week, we'll explore why maintaining Side Mount can be more effective than immediately transitioning to Mount.
🔵 CORE MATERIAL
BBS1 — FOUNDATIONAL CONTROLS
The next phase of Gracie Combatives controls.
Foundational positions that could easily have been part of the Gracie Combatives curriculum.
🔹 BONUS MATERIAL

🏆 YOUR WEEKLY CHALLENGE
BE PATIENT. MAINTAIN CONTROL.
Practice recognizing when it's time to transition into another Side Mount variation.
You can deplete your opponent's energy quickly from Side Mount. Invest time in maintaining control rather than rushing to Mount or submissions.
CONTROL FIRST. ADVANCE WITH PURPOSE.
