  • FOCUS

New Chapter! Mount. THE ultimate position for a street fight. Can you keep the mount? Do you fear losing mount? Although we will explore how to transition and accept losing Mount position, the ultimate goal is to maintain mount, control, and finish. We go to Back Mount on our terms, not theirs (if possible).

    CORE MATERIAL 🔹 (BBS1)

    •Adding to GC techniques

    • Control, Exhaust, Submit.

    BONUS MATERIAL 🔸

    • When to strike from the top.

    • When to use hooks and when to not use hooks.

    GOAL FOR THE WEEK

Analyze how it feels when you know your opponent can do an elbow escape.

Make them uncomfortable or trap their arms to shut down any elbow escape attempt.

    VIDEOS TO WATCH

🔹 All Stripe 1 and Stripe 2 Control Videos.

  • CORE MATERIAL 🔹 (BBS1 and 4)

Primary escapes will be the next focus. The more your partner knows how to escape, we can then move onto more “advanced controls” or simply “more reference points”.

    • Half Guard reference points.

    BONUS MATERIAL 🔸

    • Beyond curriculum techniques

    BONUS MATERIAL 🔸

    • Concept of staying on top.

    GOAL FOR THE WEEK

You understand all the ways your opponent can escape, but you can’t defend all of them. How do we read our opponent, and how do we steer them towards the escape that we are already prepared to defend.
